Svetlana V. Novoselova

Brief biography
Svetlana V. Novoselova graduated from St. Petersburg Institute of Motion Picture Engineers (M.Sc., with honours, chemistry, chemical technology, 1988), Russian Institute of Intellectual Property (degree of patent agent,1991) and was admitted as a registered patent attorney to practice before Russian and Eurasian Patent Offices.

Ms. Novoselova began her scientific career at the Russian Research Institute "Electronstandard" where she conducted experiments in the field of chemical sensors and biologically active chemical compounds. Later, in her role as a research associate, she designed clinical studies working at the Asthma and Allergy Association with emphasis on all aspects of microbiology and enzymology.

Having joined St. Petersburg office of ARS-Patent in 2000 Ms. Novoselova counsels both start-up and established life science companies on issues relating to chemical and biotechnological patent prosecution and litigation, and concentrates her practice in technical areas including chemical engineering applications, polymers, pharmaceuticals and medicine.
